Admission Requirements

At Smt. Rama Chopra Sanatan Dharam Kanya Mahavidyalaya, we ensure a transparent and merit-based admission process. Students must meet the following eligibility criteria for different programs offered by the college.

Graduate Programs

B.A. (Hons.)
  • Senior Secondary (10+2) examination of Punjab School Education Board or equivalent recognized by GNDU.
B.Sc. (Economics) (Hons.)
  • Senior Secondary (10+2) with at least 40% marks in aggregate in the concerned group or equivalent examination.
B.C.A. (Hons.) / B.Sc. (IT) (Hons.)
  • Senior Secondary (10+2) examination with 40% marks in aggregate from Punjab School Education Board or equivalent.
B.Com. (Hons.)
  • 12th Class examination with at least 40% marks in aggregate in any stream.
  • Relaxation for SC candidates as per Punjab Government policy.
B.Sc. (Fashion Designing) (Hons.)
  • 12th Class with 45% marks in aggregate or equivalent recognized by GNDU.
  • Relaxation for SC candidates as per Punjab Government policy.
Exit Option:

Students will be awarded a Bachelor’s Degree after successful completion of three years and a Bachelor’s Degree with Honours after successful completion of four years.

Post Graduate Programs

M.A. (Punjabi,Hindi,History)
  • Candidates seeking admission to M.A. (Punjabi), M.A. (Hindi), and M.A. (History) must have passed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination from a recognized university.
  • Admission will be granted according to the rules and regulations of the university and the institution.
  • Students from relevant academic backgrounds are eligible to apply.
  • Eligibility will be subject to the norms prescribed by the university from time to time.

Certificate Course in Computer Application
Certificate Course in Cosmetology
Certificate Course in Stitching and Tailoring

  • Passed 10+2 examination from a recognized Board with a minimum of 40% marks in aggregate.

  • Relaxation for SC candidates as per Punjab Government policy.

Post Graduate Diploma Programs

Post Graduate Diploma in Garment Construction and Fashion Designing

  • Passed B.A. / B.Com. / B.Sc. / B.Sc. (Home Science) from GNDU or any equivalent recognized University examination with a minimum of 45% marks.

Post Graduate Programs

M.Sc. (Computer Science)
  • Graduate with Computer Science / IT / Computer Applications / Computer Maintenance with 50% marks in aggregate.
  • OR BCA / B.Sc. (IT) / BIT or equivalent with 50% marks.
  • OR Graduate with Mathematics and relevant PG Diploma with 50% marks.
M.Com.
  • B.Com / BBA / B.CAM / Bachelor of E-Commerce with 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent examination.
M.Sc. (Fashion Designing)
  • Relevant graduation in Fashion Designing, Home Science, Design, Fashion Technology, B.Voc. programs, or equivalent qualification with at least 45% marks or equivalent CGPA.
